Conversely, the creation of more work is evident through metrics such as an increase in unresolved alerts requiring manual investigation or a significant rise in the time security teams spend validating AI-generated recommendations. Additional overhead arises from the complexity of AI model maintenance, frequent recalibrations, or the need for extensive retraining when new threat landscapes emerge. Ultimately, a positive impact is determined when the efficiency gains and improved accuracy demonstrably outweigh the investment in AI management, validation efforts, and the potential for new types of alert fatigue.
